About Crispin

Crispin is Head of Equities at Pendal Group an ASX listed fund manager with A$90b funds under management (FUM). He joined the funds management business of BT Financial Group, now Pendal Group, in 1994, initially responsible for European equities and served as Head of European Equities from April 1998, He was subsequently appointed to his current role in January 2003 overseeing Pendal’s Australian equities business, currently managing A$15b of FUM, making it the largest fundamental equity team in the market.

He is responsible for managing a number of our flagship Australian equity funds, which under his watch have outperformed the market over multiple periods since his appointment in 2003.

Prior to Pendal, Crispin worked for Equitable Life in London.

Crispin is a Director of the Anika Foundation and served as a Director of Football Federation of Australia from 2015-19.

He holds an Honours degree in Economics & Human Geography from Reading University.

About Ashley

Ashley was appointed as Head of Pendal’s Global Equities boutique in 2016 and is responsible for setting the strategy, processes and risk management for both the boutique and funds managed within it.

Ashley’s experience in the finance industry spans over 24 years, including roles in petroleum economics, global energy investment analysis and 20 years as a global equities fund manager.

Prior to this, Ashley was a shareholder, board member and managed the global equities strategy at PM Capital Ltd.

His global fund achieved strong performance over short and longer term periods and was awarded the “Best Australian Based Global Equity Manager of the Year 2015” by the Australian Fund Manager Foundation and “International Equities (Alternative Strategies) Fund of the Year 2015” by Zenith/ Professional Planners Association.

Ashley is a life member of the Friends of Cambridge University Library, the Bodleian Library Oxford University, the International Society of Petroleum Engineers and the International Association of Energy Economics.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Petroleum (Honours) from the University of New South Wales and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of New England (with a dual major in Financial and Economic Development of Emerging Economies). Ashley is also a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

About Michael

Michael joined Pendal Group in August 2017 and leads the Multi-Asset Investments team. Michael has over 21 years’ investment management and consulting experience and joined Pendal from First State Super, where he was Head of Investment Strategy since January 2014. In this role, Michael was responsible for the establishment of an active asset allocation process and led the Fund’s Investment Strategy Team. Prior to this appointment, Michael was Head of Diversified Strategies at Perpetual for over five years, with portfolio management responsibilities for the manager’s range of diversified funds.  Michael’s prior experience includes over 10 years in consulting roles at Watson Wyatt (now Willis Towers Watson) and NSP Buck.

Michael is a qualified actuary and holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Queensland.

About Richard


Richard Brandweiner CFA has spent twenty five years working across all asset classes in the funds management and pension fund industries. He is currently Chief Executive Officer of Pendal Australia (formerly BT Investment Management Australia) one of Australia’s leading independent fund managers. Prior to this, Richard was Chief Investment Officer at First State Superannuation, one of Australia’s largest pension funds, and Group Executive at Perpetual Investments.

Richard is the Chair of Impact Investing Australia, part of the Global Steering Group for Impact Investing. He is a member of the NSW Government Social Impact Investment Expert Advisory Group, Chair of the NRL Players Retirement Account, and a member of the CFA Institute Future of Finance Content Council. He is a former President of the CFA Society of Sydney.

About Nick

Nick Good is Group Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Pendal Group. He joined Pendal Group as Chief Executive Officer, JOHCM US in December 2019. Nick has over 24 years’ industry experience across the US and Asia.

Nick Good was most recently Executive Vice President, Chief Growth and Strategy Officer at State Street Corporation, based in Boston. In this role, he was responsible for setting overall business strategy and leading corporate development. Previously, he was co-head of State Street Global Advisors (SSGA)’s Global ETF business, with primary responsibility for North America and Latin America. Prior to joining State Street, Nick worked at BlackRock (initially Barclays Global Investors), including five years as head of its iShares ETF business in Asia-Pacific, which enjoyed rapid growth under his leadership.

About Alexandra

Alexandra Altinger has 26 years’ experience in the wealth and asset management industry across Europe, Asia and the US. She previously spent four years as CEO of Sandaire Investment Office, a UK multi-family office, where she led the business integration process after Sandaire acquired Lord North Street Private Office in 2014. Prior to Sandaire, Alexandra worked within the executive team of Lansdowne Partners International, helping to lead the firm’s repositioning efforts for its long-only products in global institutional markets. Previously she was at Wellington Management International where she had a number of senior roles and led Wellington’s European sub advisory and mutual fund business. Alexandra has also served as an Equity Research Analyst at John Hancock in Boston and has worked in Japanese equities research sales for Goldman Sachs in Tokyo and London. She started her financial career as a Proprietary Trader on the arbitrage desk with Banque Nationale de Paris (Securities)  in Tokyo.

Alexandra has a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts in International Economics from Université de Paris-Dauphine, Paris and is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA UK Advisory Council. She is also a founding member of the Advisory Committee of The Diversity Project, an ambitious initiative to promote diversity in all its forms across the UK asset management sector. She is fluent in English, German, Italian and French and proficient in Dutch and Japanese.

About Cameron

Cameron Williamson joined the business in January 2008 as the company’s Financial Controller. He acted as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer for 12 months before his permanent appointment to the role in February 2010. In 2016 he was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer, and a member of the Global Executive Committee. As Group Chief Financial Officer, Cameron is responsible for the group’s overall financial operations and reporting, business planning and investor relations. Prior to joining the company, Cameron held Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary responsibilities at Clairvest Group, a mid-market private equity group in Toronto, as well as finance roles with Franklin Templeton and CIBC World Markets in Toronto, UBS in the UK and KPMG in Adelaide.

About Brian

Brian Wright joined the company in January 2009. Brian is responsible for corporate development and is a Non-Executive Director of J O Hambro Capital Management. Prior to joining the business, Brian was the Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of MMC Contrarian Limited between August 2007 and 2008. He also held the positions of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer for the Hedge Fund, Red Centre Capital from 2004 to 2007. Brian was at Bankers Trust from 1990 to 2003. He held the position of Operations Manager for Equity and Currency derivatives in the Investment Bank. In 1995 he moved to funds management where he was the Business Manager for Currency & International Bonds. In 1997 he became the Business Manager for the Australian and International Equity business.

About Bindesh

Bindesh Savjani joined Pendal Group as the Global Chief Risk Officer in March 2019 and is a member of the Global Executive Committee. He is a qualified accountant and has over 20 years’ experience in investment management. 

Bindesh has extensive experience in risk management, compliance and internal audit from his time as a consultant at Ernst & Young and thereafter working for several asset managers. Prior to joining Pendal Group Bindesh was the Global Chief Risk Officer for Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), a FTSE 250-listed alternative asset manager. During his tenure Bindesh developed ICG’s risk framework and was responsible for Risk, Compliance and Legal. Earlier in his career, Bindesh established the risk management function at Morley Fund Management. He subsequently moved to Lloyds Bank to become the Director of Risk, Legal and Compliance for its asset management business, Scottish Widows Investment Management (SWIP). Bindesh was a core member of the executive team that sold SWIP to Aberdeen Asset Management and worked to integrate the two businesses. 

Bindesh is also an external member of the Edinburgh University Audit and Risk Committee.
